Nana, spayed female
Age: 4 years
Nana has spent most of her life in the Bashan Kennel Shelter in the Upper Galilee. She had been brought there before she first went into heat, and she underwent spaying. It’s possible that she’d been abused as a puppy, because when she was given up for adoption to a policeman’s family, she didn’t stop barking when he was wearing his uniform, probably as a reminder of the abuse. Nana is a great family dog, she’s obedient and toilet-trained. She was brought to Rehovot because the Bashan shelter was overflowing with abandoned animals in the wake of the second Lebanon war. We now hope she finds a warm and secure home in central Israel.
