Found a home, June 2006
Milton, neutered male
Age: 1.5 years
Shar-Pei mix
Milton was found wandering in the fields near Kfar Aharon. He was thin and scared. It’s unclear whether he had gotten lost or had been abandoned, but he had probably lived alone in nature for quite a while. One of our volunteers brought him food every day but she couldn’t catch him: the suspicious dog would keep his distance until she put down the food and walked away. Milton was finally captured by the veterinary services, who brought him to the Rehovot quarantine. From there, he was moved to our shelter. Milton is friendly once he gets to know you, but the memory of the frightening walks in the fields are still fresh in his mind and he gets defensive when approached by strangers. He’ll probably make a good guard dog.
