Maggie, spayed female
Age: about 2 years
Maggie, a medium-sized dog, lived in the street for about two years, that is, practically all her life. A good-hearted woman gave her food but didn’t adopt her, probably because she couldn’t. She also had Maggie spayed. Recently, however, Maggie was picked up by workers from the Rehovot municipality quarantine. We rescued her before she was put to sleep. Amazingly, Maggie has been toilet-trained from the moment she arrived in the shelter, even though she’d spent most her life as an abandoned street dog. At the beginning, she was afraid of people, but with time she learned to trust the shelter employees. When she finds a home, she will certainly also get used to her new owners. She’ll be happy to share a home with children, but only if they are gentle and kind, and she’ll appreciate a great deal of patience from her adoptive family.
