Alma, spayed female
Age: 2 years
Alma’s story is quite shocking. One morning, the shelter workers found a new dog wandering around in the yard. They tried to figure out how she got into the shelter, and reached the conclusion that she must have been thrown in over the fence. She was lucky not to have been cut or badly hurt. Alma was fed, cleaned and placed in a cage. She was really afraid of people, but has since been rehabilitated by shelter workers and volunteers. She is still a bit hesitant when being touched by people she doesn’t know. She can serve as a guard dog. However, she is very friendly and loves attention and being petted.
