| Found a home, September 2006 Beauty,
spayed female
Age: 2 or 3 years
Persian Himalaya purebred
The blue-eyed Beauty was abandoned, probably by her owners, near the shelter
gate. The Rehovot Society has no cattery, so Beauty had to be put up in
the dog shelter, in the company of more than 100 dogs. A true aristocrat,
she shows no sign that the fact bothers her, even though she must constantly
hear the barking of dozens of dogs. She lives in the Society’s education
building, and even when dogs enter the room, she doesn’t seem to
mind. But who knows, it’s quite possible that the presence of so
many dogs does cause her certain stress. We are urgently looking for a
home for Beauty, since in the long-term, a dog shelter is no place for
a cat!
Once you get to know Beauty, it’s hard not to fall in love with
her, and not just because of her looks – she’s such a calm
and gentle cat. She’s been declawed, a practice that’s been
outlawed in the UK, but unfortunately not in Israel.
