Virtual Adoption

If you cannot keep a dog or cat in your house or if you live far from Rehovot, we invite you to take part in our Virtual Adoption project. You can come to the shelter at your convenience to play or walk with the dog you choose to adopt. Even if you cannot come to the shelter, you can contribute a monthly fee to help us keep the dog or cat, and we will send you pictures and information about your adopted pet. If you live abroad, we’ll be happy to introduce you to your virtual pet on your next visit to Israel.

The Virtual Adoption project, which started in 1995, is particularly important for older animals unlikely to find a home because of their age. However, in parallel we continue to look for real homes for these animals. That’s why even after you adopt a dog or cat virtually, we don’t place the “adopted” stamp on their photo in the website gallery below.

The price of virtual adoption is $22 (NIS 100) per month for a dog and $11 (NIS 50) per month for a cat. For more details about the dogs and cats, please call Sharon Levinger, shelter manager at 08-940135(direct dial from the US: 011-972-8-9460135; or contact us at rspa@israelpets.org.
