Found a home, December 2006Ray, male
Age: 2 months
Terrier mix
Ray is a soft, gentle and lovely puppy who looks like a toy. He ceaselessly wags his tail and loves attention. He has only one problem - Ray was born blind. You'd think a blind puppy would be a sad sight, but nothing could be further from the truth - Ray is not only sweet-looking, he's also extremely lively and makes you smile. Moreover, it looks like he's going to manage very well despite his disability: while humans mainly rely on their sight for finding their way around, dogs rely a great deal on smell and hearing. These senses are much better developed in dogs compared with people, and in a blind puppy - by way of compensation - they will probably be even more acute than usual. Judging by the size of his paws, Ray will stay small even when he grows up.
He's currently with a foster family in Beer Sheba, but they are looking for a permanent home for him - please contact the shelter for details.
